LOS Line of Sight
Commtact’s Line of sight communications offer a cost effective, SWaP, solution to deliver a video streaming and mission data from a mobile platform to its base station (UAV, USV, UGV).
BLOS communication is necessary when LOS communication is obstructed by terrain conditions or limited by range constraints. A potential solution could involve utilizing the RELAY capabilities of LOS systems, as featured in Commtact’s products, or leveraging Satcom solutions, which Commtact plans to introduce to the market in the near future.
Data links systems for missiles, guided weapons and loitering munitions enhance operational capabilities by communicating mission information as well as video information when needed. These solutions are usually tailored to the specific requirements of the system.
Base Station Modules
Commtact offers a suite of solutions for establishing a robust two-way communication channel between mobile platforms (UAV, USV, UGV) and base stations (ground or sea-based). It includes a range of compact, handheld modules and large, two-axis tracking dish antennas for wide-band communication over hundreds of kilometers. Commtact’s base modules maintain reliable communication in GNSS-denied areas. Some of the models are even designed for sea-based installation, ensuring continuous tracking through INS solutions from the vessel or an independent system, all while withstanding harsh maritime conditions.
Commtact provides a range of antennas for communication over various distances, from omni-directional for 360-degree coverage to directional for long-range, covert operations.
Omni Antennas cover 360 degrees limited ranges.
Planar Antennas offer focused 10-20 degrees horizontal and 2-5 degrees vertical coverage for extended distances. These antennas are usually coupled with single access pedestal as well as a tracking system allowing a channel for dozens of kilometers.
Directional Antennas (Dish) provide a narrow, pencil like beam for long-range use, typically with tracking systems. These antennas are usually coupled to a two-access pedestal and a tracking system.
