In the last couple of years Commtact, the Israeli company specialised in advanced wireless communication solutions for defence, homeland security and industry, has changed its focus, shifting from a project-oriented approach to a product-oriented one.

Commtact chose Milipol 2021 in Paris last week to unveil COMMNET, a real-time communications network solution for first responders, large events, and C2 centre teams. Governmental agencies, security forces, or private companies in need of independent, reliable, real-time mobile data-sharing are the solution’s primary market.

Commtact has secured a contract to supply its E-MDLS family of enhanced mini data link solutions to a prime contractor for a major Asian defence programme. The company will deliver over 2000 advanced airborne and ground data link segments for tactical drones and fixed-wing UAVs, enabling secure real-time wideband communications including video streaming.
